Contact Lenses: Dr. Yoakum has established himself as one of the area's experts in fitting contact lenses. He has been on the forefront of technology in treating presbyopia with bi-focal contacts which allow patients to see objects at a distance as well as up-close with clarity.

Glaucoma Testing: Heritage Eye Care utilizes state of the art equipment and technology in all comprehensive eye examinations, visual field and Optical Coherence Tomography testing. Digital Imaging allows us to record the health if the optic nerve for future comparisons.

Diabetic Testing: During the Dilated Fundus portion of the eye exam, Dr. Yoakum thoroughly checks the retina for any damage due to Diabetes. Fluctuating blood sugar levels can cause tiny bleeds and other problems involving the retina. He is able to detect any diabetic-related retinal disease.

Dry Eye Syndrome: Dr. Yoakum has been successfully treating Dry Eye Syndrome, a troublesome eye condition that causes discomfort for contact and non-contact lens wearers alike by performing a punctual (tear duct) closure procedure and/or prescribing medications to help ease dry eyes.
